The magestic creatures of our waters
Did you know Orca whales, basking sharks and bottle-nose and common dolphins can all be sighted around Bere Island? Twelves species were recorded in recent years in the unpolluted waters off west Cork.
There have been increased sightings of both humpback and fin whales in West Cork waters in recent years, which have also garnered international media attention.
Tourists can enjoy quality whale watching in West Cork from July to December
