A recent survey of the Cross revealed cracks in the arms, which urgently needs to be repaired to prevent further degradation.
The Cross Committee has embarked on a programme to tackle this issue. The work will comprise power washing the structure, cleaning out and pointing the cracks, and then applying a breathable paint.
In order to get machinery up to the Cross, work on the last stretch of the road is necessary. A volunteer has already come forward to do that job with his excavator. Another volunteer will be working on the cracks in the Cross.
Donations to pay for the materials will be most welcome and can be made via the Holy Year Cross GoFundMe
