Bere Island Projects Group have been awarded €350 from the Irish Community Archive Network (iCAN) to purchase a scanner. This will be used to scan old photographs and documents relating to Bere Island which will then be uploaded to our community archive. As part of our Heritage Week programme, we will have a Scanning Day on Tuesday August 15th where everyone is welcome to call to the Projects Group office to have their documents, photographs etc digitised.
