The Rural Transport Bus Service on Bere Island is operated by Local Link, Bantry. The service operates weekly on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday and is available for use by both residents and visitors alike. A small charge of €2 per person is required for those using the service who do not have a Free Travel Pass.
On Tuesdays and Fridays the bus travels to Castletownbere on the 10.00am and returns on the 1.30pm ferry.
