Bere Island Theatre Troupe AGM

The Bere Island Theatre Troupe will hold their AGM on Wednesday 5th February at 7.30pm in the Community Centre.

The Troupe was formed in 2003 when a group of islanders, with funding from the Ireland Newfoundland Partnership worked with the playwright Agnes Walsh, from Cuslett, Newfoundland to form a drama group. Just two weeks after their formation, the Troupe performed their first play, In the Shadow of the Glen by JM Synge in the Lecture Theatre, Rerrin. Over the years the group expanded and performed a number of plays, both on Bere Island and on other West Cork Islands and also travelled to Newfoundland to stage a performance in Cuslett.

Everyone is invited to come along to the AGM and to discuss plans for the coming year, whether you want to act or help out behind the scenes in props, scenery or costume, and no experience is necessary!
