It’s that time of year again, Bere Island Projects Group are starting work on the 2024 Christmas Newsletter and are seeking contributions. The deadline is Friday 25th October 2024 and items should be sent to Helen Riddell at bereconservation@gmaill.com or dropped into the Projects Group office.
As ever, Bere island Projects Group are have a full programme for National Heritage Week 2024. As well as our ‘in person’ events we also have an online guide to the heritage of St Michael’s Holy Well.
The 2024 Bere island Family Festival will run from August 6th to 11th.
The annual Mass at the Holy Year Cross will take place on Saturday August 3rd at 2.00pm
Bere Island First Responder Group are running a free hands-only CPR course on Wednesday August 7th in the Community Centre at 10.00am and at 2.00pm. The course is open to all island residents and visitors to the island. Booking is essential by contacting Theresa on 086 1621803.
We are delighted to be hosting the West Cork Fit Up Theatre Festival on Bere Island again this summer. Performances will take place on the following dates at the Lecture Theatre, Rerrin. Saturday 13th JulySaturday 20th JulySaturday 27th JulySaturday 3rd August All performances start at 8.00pm, doors open from 7.30pm. Tickets are €15 each.
