Fibre Broadband Public Meeting

Bere Island Community Update / By Bere Island Projects Group

National Broadband Ireland will visit Bere Island next week and hold a public meeting on Monday 19th February 2024 at 7.00pm in the Community Centre. They will give an update presentation on the progress with fibre broadband for Bere Island. Everyone is welcome to come along.

White Goods Collection

A white goods collection will take place at the end of February. Please bring only items with a BATTERY or a PLUG for recycling to the Recycling Centre at Oilean na gCaorach before 9.00am on Monday 26th February 2024.

Bere Island Women Create

Bere Island Women Create is a women’s group open to all island women. A meeting will be held on Wednesday 14th February at 7.00pm in the Community Centre to discuss future projects. All island women are invited to come along.

Bere Island Active Retirement Group

The Bere Island Active Retirement will have a dinner at the Hotel, Bere Island on Tuesday 13th February at 2.00pm, all are welcome to attend. Booking is essential by contacting Oscar on 027 75099 or at 085 1679052.

Bere Island Walking Group

The Bere Island Walking Group meet every Tuesday evening at 7.00pm at the Community Centre. All ages, and all levels of fitness are welcome to come along and nobody is left behind! Please wear a hi-vis.

Recycling Collection

For a trial basis, the Bere Island Tourism and Environment Group have arranged for paper, cardboard and plastics (including plastic bottles)for recycling to be collected with the monthly rubbish collection.
