For a trial basis, the Bere Island Tourism and Environment Group have arranged for paper, cardboard and plastics (including plastic bottles)for recycling to be collected with the monthly rubbish collection. These should be placed in the designated clear plastic bags which can be purchased for €3 from the following places:
Murphy’s Shop
Bere Island Heritage Centre
Projects Group Office
Please note, only paper, plastics, plastic bottles and small cardboard items can be placed in these bags. Glass bottles and cans along with larger cardboard items should still be brought to the recycling centre.
Please leave your recycling bag outside with your rubbish collection on 5pm on the day of collection.
