There are a few things you will need to think ahead about before you visit:
Make sure to check the ferry times before departing for or leaving the Island.
If you are bringing your vehicle to Bere island make sure to fill up with Petrol/Diesel. An EV charger is located outside the Community Centre. Contact 027 75099 during office hours (Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm) for charging availability and rates.
AIB and Bank of Ireland customers can withdraw cash at Rerrin Post office (Mon-Sat), otherwise the ATM machines are in Castletownbere located outside the Allied Irish Bank in The Square and within SuperValu.
Check in advance with individual businesses as to whether they take credit/debit cards.
Please check the medical and emergencies page of this web site for information. Pharmacies and doctors are located on the mainland and in Castletownbere. There are 5 defibrillators on the island located outside Murphy’s Shop Rerrin, outside the Community Centre, at the West End pier by the waiting room, at Wild Atlantic Glamping, at Lawrence Cove Marina and at the GAA pitch.

A numbers of businesses have Wifi. The Bere Island Heritage Centre has a High Speed Broadband Hub and office space which is available an hourly/daily/weekly basis. Contact 027 75956 for details.
